8800NL R2 in Bridged Mode (Disable DHCP V6 ?)

Post by BFUMXXXX » Fri Aug 16, 2019 4:57 pm

I have slowly worked through the various things needed to run the 8800NL R2 in bridge mode with WiFi, DHCP (V4) and NAT off, Not using Quick Start is the official way to do this which ensures that DHCP V4 is OFF, as once in bridge mode the config page disappears. Plus of course setting 802.1P/Q correctly.

One thing that stays on is DHCP V6, this does not seem to make any difference, but just wondered if there is any downside to turning it off?

No down side to turning off IPv6 as the router is in bridging mode,
