Sky ADSL connection issue

EDIT: I've resolved this - had to set the Auth type to CHAP not Auto.

Hi,

I'm having problems using my 7800N with Sky ADSL. I've read a lot of the guides etc on the internet but I can't seem to get any working settings.

Essentially, if I use PPPoA, 0/38, MTU 1500 and the username and password extracted from my router or the install@o2broadband/install u/pw then the router will reboot after applying settings, then become inaccessbile. PPPoA and 0/38 is what the settings are on my Sky router.

I'm directly connected to the router via ethernet, I can ping the IP 192.168.1.254 but I cannot reach the management page

If I use the MPoA (RFC 1483/RFC2684 AAL5), 0/40, MTU 1500, mac/password, then I can connect to the router OK. The ADSL connection shows the Up/Downstream speed but I get stuck at "DHCP client in progress". At one point the windows ethernet connection was showing "internet connected" but I couldn't reach any website.

I'm using the "ukbillion7800nv6_1.06h.dt2" firmware
