I have a :
BiPAC 7402NX
and a:
BiPAC 7402NX
connected via a cat 5 cable and they are connecting ok via the auto-crossover feature but its only connecting at 100Mbs. Any reason why they dont connect via 1000Mbs? Will a cross over cable help ?
Thanks
Mark

Are you using the RJ-45 cable that came with the device? I would try the cable that came with the device and check the LAN LED's on the front of the router, if they turn green that means you are connecting at 1000mbps, if they turn orange 100mpbs.

Have you tested the gigalan connection with another gigalan device? eg another PC, or giga hub/switch?
So you have 2 x 7402NX routers, do they both report the same issue, have you tried to connect 1 x 7402NX to the other 7402NX and see if the LAN light turns green??

If you are trying with a 7800N, and using the EWAN port, this will always be 100mbps, as the EWAN port on the 7800N runs at 100mbps.

Nope - i'm just using one of the four normal 10/100/1000 ports on the back of these two routers.
Can somebody in Billion confirm that this is a working config ?

Not sure what you mean by working config, but I can confirm that both the 7800N and 7402NX connect @ 1000mbps.
This can not be set via the web gui (eg you can not set the lan ports to connect at 100mbps) this is normally controlled by the client device.
You also stated "yes i have tried it with another gigabit pc and i do get gigabit ok." so are you saying that the gigalan works fine with one PC but not with another on either the 7402nx or 7800N.
I need more information about your network topology to comment futher.

yes both of these routers do allow client devices (like PCs) to be connected to one of the 4 1000mbps ports and they will autoconnect at that speed but when you two and connect two of these routers together the fastest speed that they will negociate seems to be 100mbs.
