Specify own dns/dhcp server for VPN connection

Hi
The 7800N 1.06g firmware doesn't allow you to assign incoming VPN connections a dns/dhcp other than the one on the router.
Scenario: i run dnsmasq (which assigns dns, gateway and static dhcp ips, dynamic dhcp ips) to my intranet already. I don't need the billion dhcp.
Now i did enable the dhcp on the router to serve a different range (i don't know if that's a good idea or even if the subnet is allowed mutliple dhcp servers) but even that didn't assign anything to the client. The client was a Windows 7 laptop BTW.
Thanks
