8800nl after a BT upgrade to Infinity and..

Post by lesarmitage »

hi there..

Just installed a 8800nl after a BT upgrade to Infinity and supposedly the modem/router. speedtest.net seems to report that the 8800nl isn't as fast as the replaced HH5..

Am I dreaming?

What firmware version are you on?? Have you upgraded to 2.32d.dh14? found here it has the latest DMT code released by Broadcom http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... 4-firmware

So what are the speeds like when compared with your HH5, have you tested the speeds with LAN connection??

To be candid - still trying speeds
  • * What I do see is robustness of the 8800 never dropped
    * but do feeL its a bit slower than HH5
    * 'other contender ECI TELECOM 0661513 good fast but drops less than HH% - painful to setup

Keep me posted, ps if you keep swapping the modem/router DLM might kick, just a heads up
