Hi All
I've bought an almost new 8900AX2400 from a seller with a 100% history on ebay. Its running the latest software (d27) and i set it up yesterday but noticed getting around the front end was very laggy and it also hung a couple of times. I made a couple of changes this morning without much trouble but i now can't get into the GUI as its just continuosly asking me for the user name & password. I'm going to try rebooting it but i noticed another user having a similar problem with this router. Is anyone else having any issues out there. I've spent all day yesterday filling my MAc Filter in and static IP's so i don't really want to put older firmware in it unless i have to. Its working a treat otherwise!!
Cheers

Try clearing the cache on your web browser, I haven't noticed this issue before (I assume your username and password is correct)
If you changed the admin password to over 15 characters use the first 15 characters of your password to login (15 max characters)
You can also try a firmware update to d41 found on the link below (if you do update to this firmware you will have to setup the 5ghz part again)

Re: 8900AX2400 GUI
I've changed username and password from default and it's all within the limits. I noticed the d27 firmware available on this secrion so assumed this was the latest one but I'll defo give the d40 a go and see how I get on.

Re: 8900AX2400 GUI
Update
I upgraded the FW to d40 and filled in all my mac filters and label hosts but i'm still getting issues accessing the User Interface. I reboot the router and its fine for a few hours but then it doesn't go to the webpage when I enter the Ipaddres in the browser (lappy or phone). I had to add another couple of Host labels and it seemed to hang after i added one and then i had to reboot the router before it would let me in again. I don't know if doing this is significant but i'm not really oding anything else to the configuration. When i reboot the router the added label host has been added!!
Any clues anybody
FYI going from D27 to D40 wipes everything

Re: 8900AX2400 GUI
Well I woke up this morning and had no Internet connection, can't get on the user interface, can't get onto the 5ghz ssid and no answers coming forward on here. Plugged my 8800ax in and all started working again. Unfortunately I can't factory reset that unit but that's another unsolved thread. Giving it to Monday then I'm heading over to another manufacturer.

Re: 8900AX2400 GUI
So looking at this from another point of view, the same thing present on the 2 different formwares (d27 & d41) is my configuration so would a configuration problem prevent user interface access???
This is what i've done
- Factory Reset
- Setup both wifi SSID'd and security (different names same password hide the SSID for the 5ghz)
- On the 2.4ghz I set the mac filter to allow (about 12 items)
- On the 2.4ghz I setup a guest network & Enable LAN Firewall (this is for Nest & Alexa and guests)
- On the LAN page I setup Host Labels for the above Mac Addresses (tablets and phones .100's PC's and lappy's .200's)
- On the LAN page I setup the DHCP range for .50 - .59 (for anything else that pops up)
- I have a an access point (Netgear WN3000R) connected to one of the ports on the router
Cheers

I have seen your post, I am currently having remote access issues (please bare with us), I will update you once these issues are resolved (So I can advise on the sys log debugging logs procedure, and once the logs are obtained our engineers can advise further)shamusdb wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 10:31 am So looking at this from another point of view, the same thing present on the 2 different formwares (d27 & d41) is my configuration so would a configuration problem prevent user interface access???
