Download speed slower then previously

I was using previously Zyxel P-662HW-D1
Swapped for 7800DXL & now my download speeds are down from 1.4Mb/sec to under 1 Mb/sec

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps) 1224
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps) 9723

Attainable Rate (Kbps) 14904

I was trying to adjust SNR, but any change makes no difference really

Anybody has other pointers?

Latest 2.32b firmware

What is your default SNR downstream value??

What SNR tweak values did you try??

There is no default value for SNR

On my previous conenction I was getting

9725 kbps / 1106 kbps

noise margin upstream: 6 db
output power downstream: 22 db
attenuation upstream: 18 db

noise margin downstream: 6 db
output power upstream: 11 db
attenuation downstream: 32 db

So the values are pretty much identical, but the actual real life download speed is less. Yes, from same good source like Microsoft.com

I can (and did to test) my old Zyxel & the download speed is instantly back to "normal"

I have done the whole 1 to 6 SNR adjustment, none made any difference

What I meant was, what was the default SNR reading without any SNR tweaks.

So your unit is syncing up at 9725 kbps, what throughput value are you getting, compared to your Zyxel??

On Zyxel I sync exactly the same. Default value without tweaks was -1 (minus one)

The download on Zyxel is 1.2 - 1.4 Mb/sec, with 7800 it is under 1 Mb/sec

Are syncing with G.DMT, ADSL 2 or ADSL2+??

ADSL2+

And few days later (after reset to default -1) I suddenly got downstream rate 13178kbps with actual download sped of 1.33 Mb/sec
And SNR at 0.0 (most odd)

Thats sound rigth now, but the SNR reading of 0.0 will be a issue, monitor the connection for the time being and let us know how you get on.

SNR returned to 3.5 itself after few days on auto -1 setting

Thats fine, I would leave as is for now
