Hi guys as the only list I can find on Billion UK is four years out of date, I'm looking for info on mobile dongles that do or don't work on the current billion routers. Especially the 8800AXL R2.
Ironically billion in Australia have a lot of info and an active thread on whirlpool, but all of the
Australian dongles are different models from their uk siblings. So it's of little help.
Thanks.

Wrote a long update, but stupid forum times out logins and destroyed it.
In brief:
Huawei E3531 3G works in giffgaff. You have to add the giffgaff profile to the dongle.

Hi billion_fan
Is there an updated compatibility list for usb 4g dongles?
Admittedly there are very few on sale as new in the UK, and it might take a used item from ebay or similar.
I'm asking as the UK networks are planning to shut down 3G, some by the end of 2023! They may retain 2G for bit longer due to rural issues and smart meters but that's going to be slow and congested or also shutdown.
So I will eventually need to swap out my E3531 for something with 4G/LTE.
