8800NL crash

Post by Pete-B »

2.32d.dh14 firmware, upgraded about a week ago.

Router appeared to reboot this morning without any action on my part.
It reconnected to my Plusnet fibre connection without any problems, would not have noticed except I was online at the time.
Log files were cleared by the reboot.

I had > 60days uptime prior to upgrading the firmware.

Is there anything I can do to get more debugging information regarding this issue in case it happens again.

Well you can setup a syslog server with debugging mode set, but over 60 days this will be a long process (the syslog file might be large also, and leaving a computer on for 60 days is a pain), the key is to be able to replicate the issue over a shorter period, so we grab the logs before a reboot. (as you know once the device reboots the logs are cleared)
