Just been working with the 7800DX which has been great so far when configuring FTTC settings, VPNs, DHCP etc. Now we have come to want to setup a NAS device on the internal network to be accessible from the internet. We have additional IP addresses from our ISP so as suggested in the manual we have done a one to one nat from the external IP address to the internal IP address. When we did this we found that all ports were open to the NAS device. Looking at the forum other people have asked about this on the 7800N and the answer was to use inbound filter rules to stop the traffic, however the 7800DX does not allow you to set an inbound rule to block in the same way as the 7800N. I have looked right through the manual but can't see a way to do this without using the Virtual Servers feature.
Have I missed something? Is there another way do doing it?
