5Ghz channel issue

Post by 1ah1ksa »

Hi

I have 8900ax-2400 using 2.52.d41

I have sit my 5ghz channel to 112 with 80mhz and it works for about a month, the issue today i found the internet is slow so i open the settings and found that the channel changed to 40 with note reason: MANUAL . So i changed the channel back to 114 after 5 minute i entered again and found it was sit to 40 with side note reason: COC i dont understand what COC mean

the problem that why i dont use 40 because i have anther device using channel 40 with 80mhz so i cant use 36-48 channels

another way i tried to use channels from 52-64 but same problem it goes back to 36-48 channels only

What with the note that written after the channel number what does it mean

Thank you

Its a DFS issue as stated below from our engineers

UK DFS channel start from channel 52, 56, 60, 64, 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132, 136, 140, we strongly suggest staying away from these channels.

We recommend using non DFS four channel = 36, 40, 44, 48.

Well for UK firmware, the wireless driver is set for UK channels.

The only option is revert the firmware back a firmware 2.52.d34 or lower (the newer 5ghz driver was implemented on firmware d36 and later)

Attached (downgrade and reset back to factory default settings, and manually reconfigure the device again)
