is firmware 2.50a.dl23 the latest for BiPAC 8900X R2 and is openvpn not on this product?
I'll check with our engineers and get back to you.
Firmware attached, as this firmware has a upgraded base code (2.50 to 2.52) you will need to reset back to factory default settings after the firmware upgrade and manually reconfigure the device again. (do not restore settings from previous firmware builds)
Hi, we just purchased a Billion BiPac 8900AX2400 running software version 2.52.d36. We're having some issues with the 5ghz wi-fi in particular and also drops internet sometimes for no apparent reason. We previously had a BiPac 7800dx so I'm used to the interface.
Is there a newer version of firmware that we can use for our model? According to the official download site the official version is older than the one we have. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't have a newer firmware for release yet, you can try a older firmware version which has the older wireless 5ghz driver (2.52.d27 available on our website), if you downgrade the firmware, you will need to reset back to factory default settings, and manually reconfigure the device again.
I have been using 2.52.d36 firmware and had no issue with the 5ghz band so it is strange
Any update on the new firmware, I'm also using 2.52.d36 and I have some niggles. Slow 5GHz WiFi, and occasional VDSL lockups which require a router reboot.
Cheers
Tom

I will release the newer firmware on Monday 2.52.d41a1 (I want to test the firmware for a least 7 days)

Great,
any change log?
Thanks
1. Fixed NAT loopback issue
2. “Fixed Status >> 3G/4G/LTE Status issue”.
3. “Fixed Configuration >> LAN >> ETH port control can’t adjust issue”.
Same DMT code and wireless driver (2.52.d36 had the latest/new 5ghz driver)
So if upgrading from 2.52.d36 or later a factory reset will not be needed, if upgrading from a firmware below 2.52.d36 a factory reset and manual configuration will be needed.
