You will need a upgrade then

Attached is 2.52.d15, upgrade with factory default settings option, once upgraded and reset, manually reconfigure the device again, to ensure all changes wthin the firmware are implemented correctly, do not restore settings from previous firmware builds.

I have been copying details from quick start menu etc before upgrading. I had a problem when first using router in that quick start configuration entered the incorrect details.

In doing this internet was briefly lost. This may be due to going through quick start menu but have attached log in case it isn't

Lost internet today. Tried connecting laptop to router via ethernet cable but couldn't connect to router IP address, can connect OK from desktop. Any suggestions on how to connect laptop to router settings?

As a result router rebooted so no log. However I was checking a few settings immediately prior to losing internet. When checking through quick start at end of WAN settings I got error message that authentication had failed, no settings had been changed at this point. Have now reentered password and internet reconnected. So it would appear password may have got corrupted?

For your laptop, just make sure the Ethernet connection is enabled and set to obtain a IP address automatically, as long is obtains a IP address from the Billion you should be able to connect to its IP address.

I have never seen the password change/corrupt automatically without intervention, this should be stored within the config file.

Will really need to see the logs, once the issue has occurred to comment further,

Please leave the router as is for now, until the issue occurs again, then log in and grab a copy of system log for further investigation.

Update. No loss of internet for over a week, perhaps upgrade of software has resolved issue.

Thank you
