Re: NEW Bipac 8800AXLR2/8800NLR2 2.52.d12
It's nothing to do with DSL. The issue only affects certain services. I'll install the firmware though, and let you know how it goes. Thanks.

Will need to see a full copy of your system log with the logging set to debugging after the issue occurred, also with the error you are getting from Steam

It's not just Steam, and there is no specific error, just that it can't connect. The firmware you gave me obviously uses a very old DSL PHY version because the sync speed has dropped hugely. I will revert back to the previously used firmware, and will send you the log with debugging set when/if the issue occurs again.

Attached is another version on d12, try this one, when the issue occurs are able to ping 8.8.8.8 or browse the internet ?? Are speedtest normal when the issue occurs?? (don't forget to enable debugging logs and capture the logs before rebooting the router)Grimers wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 9:56 am It's not just Steam, and there is no specific error, just that it can't connect. If there is a error I would assume something relevant should be logged within the system log

Yes, pretty much everything is unaffected, I've just noticed it affect online gaming connectivity like Steam and its games etc. I will try that firmware. Thanks.

How strange, it might be hard to debug this issue, as it only effects steam and ETS2, but lets see what the logs say first

Re: NEW Bipac 8800AXLR2/8800NLR2 2.52.d12
The issue has just occurred again, and nothing relevant is showing in the system log with debugging enabled...
EDIT: I just found this page, tried the 1st method and it solved the problem with accessing Steam. ETS2 is installed through Steam, too. However, Rocket League, which also uses UDP, will not connect to any servers. I wonder if the router just stops accepting UDP requests after a period of uptime?
Code: Select all
Dec 1 19:15:26 syslog emerg Router started: BusyBox v1.17.2
Dec 1 19:16:18 daemon info syslog: TELNET login success, user ip 192.168.1.100

Correct, everything that uses UDP (so RL, Steam, ETS2 etc).
