Firewall clarification.

When using an 8900ax-2400 in bridge mode (in conjunction with a TPlink mesh), am I correct in assuming that the router's internal firewall is not functioning? If not, is there any way to enable it?

When in Bridge mode, the firewall is disabled and can't be enabled. (the TP-Link should be the firewall/router)
