hard wired vdsl cable to router

Post by Flimbyite »

Hi,
When I first purchased my router (880AXL), I had it hardwired directly from the BT socket (A & B connections) to an ethernet socket next to my router. A couple of weeks ago my internet connection failed. The BT engineer came out and fixed the connection but changed the wiring on the ethernet socket and ran an RJ11 cable into the ADSL port on my router. This has given me a much slower connection. My problem is I can't remember how I originally wired the ethernet socket. I want to plug a standard ethernet cable from the socket and plug it into the VLAN port in my router. I currently have BT's FTTC through Plusnet.
Thanks in advance.
