Mine was ok this time (lucky me :)) I turned it off.

I hope all these settings that are exotic are turned off in the next release as default because i have never heard of that setting before.
I have not done any wifi speed testing so i won't know if its any faster.

Ill try this when i get home too, i have not bothered to look at WIFI connection speeds yet as the main issue here is there is something very wrong with 2.4 / 5ghz co-existence + when u save setting the unit has a very good chance at hanging.

"OBSS Co-Existence" is enabled by default and that seems to be the caused of the issue. It is a patent feature by Broadcom https://data.epo.org/publication-server ... ument.html

It is supposed to improve overall wireless performance due to interference but the down side is it can restrict wireless bandwidth to 20Mhz. Problem is with so many routers around on 2.4Ghz, the chances of interference is high so with this feature on you are very likely to find your wireless connection showing a lower speed of 144Mbps (20Mhz). The question is whether we leave this feature on or not by default. Dropping to 20Mhz does show overall improvements but only 40Mhz will you be able to reach 300Mbps. It is a matter of preferences really since most people will prefer to have a more stable connection as opposite to a faster connect which is unstable.

Good news,

We will be expecting a new firmware fix for the dual band wifi issue with iphone 5. Once our engineers finished their testing on the firmware I will release it. Hopefully it will be within this week.
