7800DXL keeps locking up, no nextwork, wifi or internet

Post by madmogga » Mon Sep 02, 2019 3:17 pm

Not sure if anyone can help i have a 7800dxl, which for some reason now locks up, by that i mean I have no internet via ethernet or wifi, am unable to connect to the router settings or any other computer on my wired network unless i restart the router, once restarted everything is ok for a while could be a day or a few hours but then i lose everything again and need to restart. the only things i have changed was the max clients from 16 upto 32 on my 2.4ghz network and swapped from channel 11 to 6. since then i have put both these setting back but i still get the lock ups.

The router is 4-5 years old - is it on its way out or do i have another issue ?

Try a firmware upgrade to latest firmware, and reset the device back to factory default settings, to make sure all changes within the firmware are implemented correctly. Then manually reconfigure the device.

Do not restore settings from previous firmware builds.
