DHCP Client connection list

Post by Dink444 »

I'd like to see a tab under STATUS , that shows the actively connected Wireless or LAN clients from it's last net bios/DHCP server check.

At the moment we can only see that the DHCP server has alloated an IP , at some point in the last 24 hrs , and not if it is actively connected anymore.

It is possible to check sys.log to see some of the info but is very tedious.

Most of my previous routers had this function , of Connected Clients.

Mainly so I could see whether the kids are asleep OR still surfing on their mobiles , secretly :D

Having had a 7800N for just 22 hours I am already finding myself agreeing with this suggestion. It's quite frustrating not being able to see what is actually connected, what it's IP is etc. So if we could see clients split by Wireless/Lan together with connection time and IP then it'd be incredibly useful plus having the ability to add a custom name to a MAC address would also be useful since some of my kit doesn't provide the router with a client name.
